Executive DirectorResponsibilities:
As an Executive Director, you will reportdirectly to our Assistant Vice President of Operations. You’ll beresponsible for the day-to-day operations of your assigned hospicelocation. The Executive Director oversees the coordination ofadmission of patients to Hospice Services in a smooth, systematicprocess, as well as arranging for ancillary services so that theyare complimentary. Additionally, the Executive Director willoversee the direction, supervision and evaluation of hospicepersonnel and volunteers and the coordination of services of allteam members of the multi-teamed site and is responsible forongoing communication with leadership.

Demonstrates a commitment to excellence through focusing onquality care and/or service Incorporates continuous quality improvement principles inday-to-day activities Promotes and monitors compliance with requirements andstandards established by accrediting or licensing agencies,regulatory agencies and state or federal law relevant to areas ofresponsibility Recommends and implements policies and procedures Manages Human Resources effectively. Promotes positive communications and keeps employees informedof changes by ensuring meetings with appropriate staff areconducted and documented. Is available to employees when issuesarise Promotes/provides for core orientation, at the direction of theAdministrator, plus location and job specific orientation, inservice training and continuing education for employees, volunteersand contract personnel Responsible for the selection, supervision, and evaluation ofinterdisciplinary team members Manages teams to goals and standards for performance; reviewsand monitors progress regularly and redirects efforts where goalsare not being met Makes appropriate assignments among employees in accordancewith their personal abilities and limitations; ensures fair andconsistent workload distribution Manages Office Operations effectively Plans and organizes tasks and resources to achieve strategicgoals and objectives Ensures documentation of services is accurate and timely Monitors and supervises quality of patients’ care of assignedlocation(s). Processes emergency calls and requests forassistance May be asked to perform routine visits to patient homes orinstitutional setting and/or participate in on-call schedule (onlyif a Registered Nurse) Works with physicians, patients, families, staff and othersregarding problems, needs and concerns Responsible for supervision and evaluation of familysatisfaction surveys in collaboration with the Administrator Manages financial resources prudently and effectively. Completes financial reviews in collaboration with theAdministrator Ensure annual expenditures are within annual budget. Prepares,monitors, and reviews monthly bills, supply costs, expenserequests, mileage reimbursement, payroll and other expenses

Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred Master’s degree in business, nursing or related field preferred
Experience:
Minimum one year management/supervisory experiencerequired Two or more years’ experience in hospice/home carerequired Three years’ experience overseeing direct patient care in aclinical setting preferred Three to five years healthcare sales/ management experiencepreferred Licenses, Certifications and/or
Registration:
Current automobile insurance and valid driver’s license
