Dental Patient Coordinator Decatur Dental Office Decatur, GA 30035 We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Dental Patient Treatment Coordinator to join our team. This critical role bridges the gap between our patients and the dental care they need by presenting treatment plans, financial options, and ensuring patients are informed and confident about their care. The ideal candidate excels in communication, builds trust, and demonstrates a proven ability to convert treatment presentations into scheduled services while maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Treatment Presentation Clearly and confidently present treatment plans to patients, ensuring they fully understand the recommended care, procedures, and benefits. Explain financial options, including insurance coverage, out-of-pocket expenses, and payment plans. Address patient concerns and questions with empathy and accuracy. Conversion Goals Achieve and maintain a minimum treatment plan conversion rate of 55% by effectively communicating the value and necessity of recommended care. Follow up with patients on unscheduled treatment plans to encourage booking. Financial Coordination Collect patient balances at the time of service, ensuring no patient is seated without confirming payment arrangements. Monitor outstanding accounts and work collaboratively with the team to minimize unpaid balances. Administrative Duties Update and maintain accurate patient records in the practice management system. Prepare and review treatment estimates in coordination with the insurance team. Generate and track daily and weekly reports on treatment acceptance and collections. Collaboration Work closely with the dental and administrative teams to ensure a seamless patient experience. Assist in training team members on best practices for treatment presentation and financial discussions. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Patient Treatment Coordinator or in a similar role in the dental or healthcare industry. Strong understanding of dental procedures, insurance processes, and financial options. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients. Proven track record of achieving treatment plan conversions. Proficiency in dental software and practice management systems. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with dental insurance verification and pre-authorization processes. Experience in collecting patient payments and managing accounts receivable. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Treatment Conversion Rate:
Minimum 55% of presented treatment plans converted into scheduled procedures.
Patient Balance Collection:
