Responsibilities Team Rehabilitation is seeking that outgoing,dynamic individual to be that all-important first point of contactwithin our clinic. The ideal candidate would be empathetic topatient conditions and willing to do whatever is needed to help,accommodate, and support the patient’s success in therapy.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients in a friendly, outgoing manner.
Verify appointment and assist in completing any necessarypaperwork. Ensure 360 communication with patients, physicians,other staff members and anyone else involved in the patient’s care- including any necessary follow-ups. Maintain complex scheduleswhile ensuring that all patients are scheduled the appropriatenumber of visits. May include coordinating with the PhysicalTherapist and other staff members to accommodate the patient’sneeds. Assist patients with any insurance-related questions. Verifyand explain insurance benefits to every patient, as well asobtaining and tracking any authorizations needed Accurately updateand maintain records in the electronic medical and billing recordsystem, including billing changes. Follow up for any additionalinformation when appropriate. Collect copayments and process in anaccurate, timely and professional manner. Issue any receipts andhandle any billing-related tasks. Accurately input data collectedfrom in-house research. This information provided is pivotal indetermining clinic performance. Support the clinic performance bypreparing management information, imputing data from in-houseresearch and assuming basic maintenance of clinic supplies andequipment. u200bRespect patient privacy and adhere to anyconfidentiality policies.
Other Tasks:
The Patient AdministrativeCoordinator must be able to multitask in a fast paced, demandingenvironment while staying on top of daily reports and tasks.
Reports to the clinic director and performs any additional tasksassigned by the clinic director. Qualifications High schoolgraduate or equivalent Experience in a patient centered health careposition is an advantage, but is not necessary Experience in otherpositions requiring customer contact and service is also usefulExcellent written and verbal communication skills required Mustpossess solid basic computer skills Must be committed to Team’sinitiative of making DEI a priority – bringing a sense of belongingand empowerment within a diverse workforce
