The Executive Director of Clinical Quality Value Analysis is a key member of the management team charged with overseeing Wellstar’s medical supply and device portfolio from product request through utilization. This leader is part of a clinically integrated supply chain team that drives processes and constantly improves it’s operations. This position reports to the Vice President of Purchasing, Contracts, and Clinical Quality Value Analysis. This leader must maintain and provide a current understanding of industry leading healthcare value analysis practices, medical device clinical applications, and product category market trends, in order to support Wellstar’s patient care team members and clinical provider partners. They will assist in determine medical device efficacy through documented evaluations, evaluate the supplier capabilities and establish sources for new supplies/products and services as business requirements dictate. This leader is responsible for oversight of medical device recalls, product safety, quality, expense management, standardization, and utilization efforts. The Executive Director has the additional responsibility for developing, implementing, monitoring and reporting cost containment mechanisms and facilitation of effective communication between departments and Supply Chain. This leader brings to the role critical analytical skills. They will establish collaborative work methods with vendors, medical staff, clinicians, purchasing, contracts, facility departments, administration and other staff to achieve targeted goals.
Required Minimum Education:
Master’s Degree Required and Masters Business Administration/ Masters Nursing/ Masters Health Administration Preferred Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
RN, MD, PA, CRT
Preferred Required Minimum Experience:
Minimum 10 years recent experience in a healthcare setting as a Physician, Physician Assistant, Nurse, Respiratory Therapist or other clinical specialist. Minimum 7 years of management experience with direct management of others required and Minimum 10 years Experience in a healthcare setting as a Physician, Physician Assistant, Nurse, Respiratory Therapist or other clinical specialist plus experience as a Value Analysis coordinator in Hospital Supply Chain setting. Experience working with multiple levels of leadership, including communication with physicians and facilitating others to action
Required Required Minimum Skills:
Must be high energy and results oriented. Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams at a high level in a large hospital or multi hospital system. Proven management skills and demonstrated knowledge of hospital and clinical staff functions, medical/surgical supplies, diagnostic testing, etc. Effective leadership, organization, and educational skills. Ability to facilitate work groups in a team environment. Strong written and verbal communications. Must possess the ability to build strong physician and clinician relationships. Demonstrated experience working with report preparation and analysis. Previous experience working with contracts preferred. Ability to negotiate for outcomes.
