Job Description Summary:
The Ancillary Services Manager is responsible for managing various ancillary departments (DME, MRI, Lab), ensuring quality standards, operational efficiency with a focus on positive P&L, compliance with healthcare regulations, and contributing to cross-departmental collaboration..
Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate ancillary services such as laboratory, radiology, & DME Ensure all services comply with healthcare regulations, licensing requirements, and safety protocols. Own department P&L. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Improve workflows, resource allocation, and service delivery to enhance patient experience and efficiency. Oversee budgets, cost containment measures, and vendor contracts for ancillary services. Supervise, train, and support staff across multiple ancillary departments to foster a high-performance culture. Assist in the evaluation of potential Ancillary department investments. Work closely with medical staff, administration, and external partners to ensure seamless integration of ancillary services. Other Ancillary duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, healthcare administration, business, or a related field (Master’s preferred). 2-5 years of experience in a healthcare or laboratory setting, managerial experience preferred Strong analytical skills. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft software applications. Knowledge of regulatory requirements (HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission, etc.) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback to staff. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
