And, providing a marketplace for employees to grow their skills and tap into new markets through cross training. — Job Summary We’re looking for a Practice Director who’s ready to step into the driver’s seat of a well-respected private dental practice. In this role, you won’t just manage people and processes—you’ll shape the experience for every patient and team member who walks through the door. You’ll oversee both the front office and clinical team, keeping the practice running smoothly and efficiently while creating a culture that thrives on clarity, accountability, and mutual respect. You’ll partner directly with the owner-dentist and receive strategic support from a remote COO/CFO to help take the practice to its next level. Key Core Competencies Results & Execution (Drive & Operational Oversight): Lead revenue-driving activities and daily workflow Set and monitor KPIs including production, collections, AR, and case acceptance Maintain smooth scheduling, billing, treatment coordination, and patient flow Ensure clinical efficiency through staff scheduling and timely coordination
Leadership & Team Development:
Supervise and support front office and clinical staff Provide ongoing training, feedback, and accountability Facilitate team meetings and one-on-one coaching Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture
Business Operations:
Oversee insurance processes, claim submission, and patient billing Analyze practice performance and present data-backed insights Coordinate vendor relationships and office supply management Support HR functions including onboarding and performance reviews
Communication & Collaboration:
Serve as the liaison between doctor, team, and external consultants Promote open communication, consistent expectations, and issue resolution Handle patient concerns with empathy and professionalism Qualifications 3+ years of dental office management experience Strong command of Dentrix (not Dentrix Ascend) and PPO insurance workflows Experience managing both administrative and clinical staff Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented Comfortable using reporting tools and practice metrics to guide decisions Preferred Familiarity with Weave, OperaDDS, or other dental office tools Background in team restructuring, scaling, or process improvement Why This Role?
