Job Summary Serves as an active leader in the department by coordinating and supervising the work of pharmacy technicians and/or pharmacists. Supports pharmacy manager or director in ensuring efficient operation of the pharmacy. This position will care for patients in the neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups. Performs clinical/operational duties in accordance with population specific guidelines. Minimum Job Qualifications Licensure or other certifications: Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy. Registered Georgia Pharmacy license.

Make departmental personnel decision or recommendations on an ongoing basis in the areas of employment selection, promotion, demotion, transfer, and/or termination. Coordinates recruitment and hiring process for departmental staff 3A Develops a training schedule for newly hired staff members’ 90-day orientation period 3B Ensures orientation checklist is completed 3C Assists with the training of newly hired staff members. Completes all employee records and reports according to established timeframe, including but not limited to Performance Evaluations and Disciplinary Actions Develops pharmacy staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage 5A Ensures requests for PTO are handled equitably and according to policy 5B Arrange coverage of workflow in the event of call-outs or other special circumstances, i.e. weather emergencies or system downtimes Counsel with employees on their work, attitude, etc., as evidenced by notation in HR files. Provide individual employees with a record of progress or capabilities Resolves problems and mediates conflicts encountered during daily operations and determines appropriate solutions. Oversees daily operation and operations improvements to ensure that work performed is in accordance to specified standards for the assigned department. Confers with representatives from other departments when special requests are needed. Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager or Director.
