Job Responsibilities:

Facilitate the development, implementation, and adherence of sepsis program protocols and therapies. Ensure evidence-based protocols and therapies are the standard of care following within the facility. Collaborate with medical staff, nursing, and other disciplines to provide multidisciplinary care to patients diagnosed with sepsis. Round with physicians to review clinical data, advise on protocol and documentation requirements, and actively strive to decrease mortality and length of stay. Collect and analyze sepsis data to collaborate with the healthcare team to identify trends, improve care, and provide education. Participate in patient and family education to positively impact patient experience. Registered Nurse Sepsis Coordinator must have the following qualifications: Current Louisiana RN license with a minimum of 3 years experience in acute hospital setting (5 years preferred). Bachelor’s Degree required Excellent interpersonal, communication skills. Willingness to learn application of performance improvement methods. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Positive attitude with a desire to make a difference in patient and family experience
