This Administrative Coordinator position is for a vacancy located in our Mandeville Behavioral Health Clinic in Mandeville, Louisiana. Applicants may be asked to serve a probationary period that may be anywhere between 6 months and 24 months.

Salary may be negotiable depending on the chosen applicant’s level of experience. An additional premium pay of $1.00/hour may be applied hour for hour working in direct patient care. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Two years of experience or training in clerical work.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION

Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

General from higher-level clerical and/or supervisory personnel.

Job Distinctions:

Differs from Administrative Coordinator 2 by the presence of responsibility for clerical duties that involve greater scope and complexity, including initial program duties.
Differs from Administrative Coordinator 4 by the absence of paraprofessional duties that involve a higher degree of specialization, complexity, and/or independent judgment.
Examples of Work
This position is part of the front-office staff and provides clerical support to the Mandeville Behavioral Health Clinic and its employees. This support may include a variety of clerical duties, such as: answering multi-line telephones, routing phone calls to the appropriate staff or taking detailed messages, greeting clients, notifying staff of client arrivals, conducting check-in and check-out procedures for clients, verifying insurance coverage, contacting clients with appointment reminders, and processing faxes received. Additionally, this position may also enter information into the electronic health record (EHR), as well as maintain a supply of the necessary packets for both clients with scheduled appointments and walk-ins.
