Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
Accepts responsibility for implementing the Mission ofthe YWCA. Maintains organized site and takes responsibility for upkeepof equipment and materials. Assists Group Leaders with planning bothlong and short range activities in accordance with curriculumobjectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
Coordinates all aspects of program transportation with the Bus Companyand schools. Guide program in Department of Early Education and Care(EEC) regulations. Guide program in advancing on the Quality RatingImprovement System (QRIS). Guide program in it?s application forappropriate school Age Accreditation. Maintains all required records andreports to meet EEC regulations. Works directly with children whenneeded. Maintains good working relationship with parents. Collectsparent fees and issue termination notices for non-payment. Attendsrequired and other necessary workshops and conferences. Stays current ondevelopments in the field of school age child care. Distributesmedication and maintains medical log. Knowledgeable of local servicesand resources available to families in need. Keeps program data andstatistics and other records as assigned. In conjunction withappropriate staff, develops and implements program criteria andprocedures, and evaluates program effectiveness. Represents the YWCA atappropriate community meetings, forums collaborations and coalitionsthat further the mission of the YWCA. Adheres to all YWCA policies andprocedures. Other job related duties and responsibilities may beassigned and/or the job description may change periodically to reflectchanging organization needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor?s Degree in EarlyChildhood Education, Elementary Education, Adolescent Development,Psychology, or related field required. Experience working in EEClicensed school age program in an administrative position preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and creative problemsolving skills needed. Planning and management ability to handle a widevariety of projects simultaneously. Satisfactory response to a
