Lynn, MA Overview :

The Clinician will provide clinical treatment to youth and young adults at Youth Services residential programs. Overseeing the treatment envelope, the Clinician will ensure the practical application of a Trauma Informed theoretical treatment framework in the milieu, and will work with staff to provide them with the tools to support residents in the development of healthy attachments, positive relationships, self-regulation, and life-skills. The Clinician works directly with youth- providing clinical assessment, treatment planning, and intervention via individual, group, and family therapy, as well as collaboratively with a youth’s in-house and collateral treatment teams.

Shift/Schedule:

Monday – Friday (9am – 5pm)

Responsibilities:

Engage with program youth to complete required intake and ongoing clinical assessments. Collaborate with the youth’s treatment team to develop a treatment plan. Oversee implementation of youth’s treatment plan. Ensure provision of clinical services, including individual, group and family therapy as indicated in the treatment plan. Assist with the development and delivery of staff training toward the implementation of a solid, clinical treatment program. Establish a leadership role by having a presence in the milieu and by modeling clinical interventions with milieu staff, including working with milieu staff in the delivery of crisis intervention services as needed Provide formal and informal clinical support for program staff as needed. Work closely with Program Directors to assist with clinical matters in the milieu. Participate as a member of Youth Service’s Leadership and Clinical Teams as indicated. Complete all required documentation in a professional, timely manner according to policies and legal, ethical, and regulatory obligations. Consistently meet professional licensure requirements On occasion, share direct care floor coverage with administrative staff, when requested for support. Obtain required training for organization and job position, in addition to any other training mandated, including multicultural awareness orientation. Support Programs in times of crisis Coordinate referrals to community-based services to ensure continuity of services throughout treatment and post-discharge.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in a related field (social work, human services, psychology, etc.)

LCSW OR LMHC

is required. Does not need to be independently licensed Must have a valid drivers license and vehicle Open on years of experience Previous experience working with youth or interest in working with youth
