Medical Records Coordinator/Central Supply Clerk The Guardian Center 888 North Main Street, Brockton, MA 02301 Job Overview The Medical Records Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of patient records within a healthcare facility. This position involves managing medical documents, maintaining organized filing systems, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail and a strong understanding of medical terminology and office procedures. Responsibilities Organize and maintain patient medical records in accordance with established protocols. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all medical documentation. Retrieve and file patient records as requested by healthcare professionals. Assist in the preparation of reports and statistical data related to patient care. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Update electronic health record (EHR) systems with new patient information and changes to existing records. Communicate effectively with medical staff regarding any discrepancies or issues with records. Skills Proficiency in medical terminology to accurately interpret and manage patient records.
