The Clinical Placement Coordinator plays a key administrative role related to the development of new clinical sites and the maintenance of a comprehensive student placement database, including housing linkages. The Coordinator supports clinical education by coordinating site logistics, ensuring compliance with documentation requirements, facilitating communication with clinical partners, and tracking placement schedules and evaluations. This is a half-time (20 hours per week) position based on-site at the Portland campus. The regular schedule includes Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, along with an additional half-day, with flexibility to be scheduled on Monday, Thursday, or Friday. Following a 90-day probationary period, the half-day may be eligible for remote work. About the University of New England

Responsibilities Complete a literature review of best practice/s for students in rural placements
Create and maintain a database of program approved clinical training sites for use by students in various programs for completion of their required and elective training obligations.
Create a checklist to ensure logistical arrangements to assure proper clinical site preparation have been made by responsible party, for existing and new clinical sites, to include:
Appropriate university-preceptor/clinical site affiliation agreement(s) are in place
Proof of malpractice insurance coverage for assigned student(s) is on file
Proof of appropriate student immunization/OSHA/HIPAA compliance is completed
Criminal background checks and drug testing is completed
Other appropriate documentation
Correspond with clinical sites regarding student placement
Maintain master clinical placement schedule.
Collect, collate and provide summary of clinical education evaluation reports.
Confer regularly with faculty supervisor(s) and various other UNE personnel to plan and coordinate activities related to clinical education training.
Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business or other appropriate discipline preferred, not required. Three to four years of relevant clerical and administrative experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
Strong planning, administrative and organizational skills
Strong typing/word processing and other general office skills.
Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
Ability to deal effectively with a wide range of University personnel and support functions of the job.
Previous experience in RedCap or other interactive appropriate databases and data management/reporting systems using PC software and use of programs to generate reports.
Previous experience in organizing and maintaining moderately complex filing and record-keeping systems, including relevant experience with computerized information systems.
General understanding of higher education organizational structure and administrative.
