As theSupervisor of Medical & Clinical Operations you will coordinate,supervise and be accountable for the daily activities of centralregistration department. You will assist the manager of patientaccess, as needed. This position is full time, Monday – Friday.
Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am -5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to workoccasional overtime. Our office is located at 175 Fore River Pkwy,Portland, Me 04102. We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job training. Thehours of training will be aligned with your schedule.
PrimaryResponsibilities:
Ensures that adequate phone coverage is in placeat all times; primary liaison with afterhours service to maintaincoverage. Reviews and appropriately approves requests for PTO forall staff under their supervision to meet business needs.
Continually monitors staff attendance and task performance usingobservation, call monitoring and formal audit tools. Conducts atleast quarterly 1:1 with all staff under their supervision. Setsdaily priorities for the team to ensure timely completion andadherence with department timelines and guidelines. Producesreports related to non-clinical tasks, as needed. Develops plans tomeet short and long term department needs and objectives.
Identifies and resolves operational problems using definedprocesses, expertise and judgment. Decisions are guided bypolicies, procedures, business plan and supervising Manager. Actsas the primary liaison with supervisors in other areas of businessi.e. Continuity of Care, Member Services, IS, etc. Product, serviceor process decisions are most likely to impact individual employeesand/or customers (internal or external). You’ll be rewarded andrecognized for your performance in an environment that willchallenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes tosucceed in your role as well as provide development for other rolesyou may be interested in.
Required Qualifications:
High SchoolDiploma / GED Must be 18 years of age OR older 1 years ofexperience working as a supervisor/manager 2 years of in-personcustomer service experience Proficiency with Microsoft Word (createand edit correspondence), Excel (ability to create, edit, and sortspreadsheets) and Outlook (email and calendar management) or Googleequivalent. Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications,which includes the ability to learn new and complex computerapplications and apply their use Ability to work onsite MercyHospital – 175 Fore River Pkwy, Portland, Me 04102 Full Fluvaccination are an essential job function of this role.
