At Least Two Years of Medical Front Desk Experience:
You’ve managed scheduling, phone calls, and patient records including adding patient insurance information into patient digital file, and you’re ready to take the lead in creating a smooth and efficient office experience. You are able to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.

As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will: Greet and assist patients and visitors both in person and over the phone, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate staff member. Answer phone lines, schedule appointments, and update patient demographic information including adding/updating patient insurance information in our digital system. Coordinate appointments and confirm upcoming visits to optimize provider time and patient satisfaction. Assist in managing the flow of patient appointments by notifying providers of patient arrivals, delays, and any schedule changes. Retrieve and assign faxes to the appropriate patients. Send out questionnaires and ensure patient documentation is completed in advance. Handle patient copays, invoices, and payments for services and products. Uphold patient confidentiality by following HIPAA regulations and ensuring the security of medical and financial information. Primarily perform duties at our Waterville location but flexibility to travel to our Bangor location as needed to provide coverage. This position reports to Waterville’s Office Manager and Human Resources Director. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm with an hour unpaid lunch.
