Job Description
Coordinator Medical Staff Serv North Kansas City Hospital North Kansas City, MO 64116 Facilitates all aspects of credentialing; accountable for coordinating, developing, and maintaining a detail-orientated database upon which to record statistics for all members of the Medical Staff and Advanced Practice Professionals Staff, to be used for continuous credentialing; maintains the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations; develops meeting agendas, documents minutes, ensures expeditious follow-through on actions and policy changes.
EXPERIENCE
Five years comprehensive experience as a medical staff service professional within a hospital setting. Must have knowledge of medical staff credentialing and organizational structures as well as current knowledge of related regulatory agency requirements. Minimum of one year supervisory experience preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Professional written and verbal communication skills. Computer literacy and CACTUS database management, comprehensive understanding of medical terminology, ability to utilize word processing, database, and/or spreadsheet.
OTHER:
Ensures credentialing is a continuous process with accountability for decision making regarding credentialing criteria, verification of processes, and review processes. Oversees CATUS database management of information on providers to ensure accurate and current database data exists in the database.

High School or Equivalent, Preferred:
Associates – Business Related Field, Associates – Medical Staff Services Science
