The New Patient Coordinator (NPC) as the first point of contact for new patients, you are playing a crucial role in providing a welcoming and informative experience. Answering inquiries, gathering information and assisting with all intake of new patients. Your responsibilities will include managing patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, explaining our integrative approach, and facilitating a smooth onboarding process. Many interactions are via phone, as well as email and often in-person. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for integrative and functional medicine, and a commitment to ensuring an exceptional patient journey. We are looking for a special person who has the gift of actively listening, and has a heart to serve. This position is truly about connection.
Job Duties can include:
Act as the initial point of contact for new patient inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits
- truly listening to the patient’s story Provide detailed information about the clinic’s integrative and functional medicine services and approach.
Help to schedule appointments for new patients, ensuring efficient coordination with healthcare providers. Collect and verify patient information, and medical history during the onboarding process. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and patient handovers. Follow up with new patients to gather feedback and address any concerns or questions. Collaborate with administrative and clinical staff to optimize the patient experience.
Job Requirements:
Education

Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience Required
- Customer Service Experience
- Computer experience (Excel, word, email, etc) Preferred
- Medical Clinic Office/ Administrative Experience Skills Previous experience in a healthcare or medical office setting, preferably in patient coordination or customer service. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both in person and over the phone. Familiarity with integrative and functional medicine concepts and terminology is a plus
- but will be part of ongoing training.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in using scheduling software and electronic medical records systems. Compassionate in every conversation Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the unique needs of this position Commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
