Responsibilities Parkwood Behavioral Health System (a UHS facility): Parkwood Behavioral Health System provides behavioral health and chemical dependency services to the Mid-South region and has been in business since 1987. We are located in Desoto County, in the northwest corner of Mississippi and approximately 7 miles south of Memphis. As treatment options and patient care innovations have continued to become available we strive to provide the highest level of quality care to our patients. Parkwood Behavioral Health System includes a 148-bed inpatient acute and residential care facility, as well as partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. For more information about Parkwood Behavioral Health System, please visit our website at https://parkwoodbhs.com Referral & Registration Manager Full-time – 10:30 am- 7pm The Referral & Registration Manager provides managerial oversight of the timely processing of inquiry and referral calls. Ensures Department is effectively communicating with referral sources, physicians, unit staff and hospital personnel involved with each transfer request. Monitors the entry of call data into the facility’s database and manages all e-fax application(s) to process incoming referrals and transfer requests in a timely manner. Ensures Department effectively communicates with unit staff, physicians, and Admissions Triage Staff.

Qualifications Education:

Licensed RN; Master’s Degree in a Behavioral Health related field (QMHP)

Experience:

3-5 years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience managing a Clinical team.

Licensure/Certification:

Licensure as a Registered Nurse in state of Mississippi and CPR Certification.

Knowledge:

Excellent customer service and communication skills (i.e., verbal and written). Ability to prioritize and work well under periods of high stress and pressure. Ability to multi-task and demonstrate critical thinking skills. Thorough knowledge of psychiatric services and medical capabilities provided by the hospital. Ability to work flexible hours. Requires ability to utilize Department specific electronic applications; and data analytic skills. Experience reviewing medical and clinical information to staff appropriately with physician is required.
