Hattiesburg, MS 39402 The New Patient Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling appointments for new patients, ensuring efficient communication with patients and healthcare providers. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service abilities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Schedule, cancel and reschedule appointments for new patients in a timely manner Manage and prioritize appointments based on urgency and availability Keep track of and report on appointment statistics Gather and verify patient information including insurance details Coordinate with providers, nurses and administrative staff to ensure appointment availability Communicate appointment details, changes, and confirmations to patients Maintain accurate patient records and update scheduling system Address patient inquiries regarding scheduling Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality policies

$16.00 – $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
