Health Education Job Summary:
Provides overall leadership and direction in the development, implementation, and administration of HIV training to health professionals around Mississippi IN order to improve the health outcomes of HIV-positive individuals throughout Mississippi. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Management, Health Sciences, Public Health, Psychology, or related field and five (5) years of related experience; Experience cannot be substituted for educational requirement.
Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required:
NA Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Responsibilities Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates health education programs for health professionals around Mississippi regarding HIV care and management. Collaborates with the principal investigator in the development of objectives for the Mississippi local performance site (LPS) of the delta region aids education and training center (DRAETC), budget estimates, and fiscal administration of allocated resources. Maintains an organizational structure and staffing to accomplish organizational goals and objectives. Promotes effective two-way communication between management and employees. Hires, trains, schedules work assignments, supervises, and evaluates staff. Develops and sustains effective relationships internally with university staff and externally with health professionals and clinical sites around the state. Promotes outreach and dissemination of health education and information to HIV-treating health professionals in Mississippi.
