Position Summary:
The Divisional Director of Clinical Education (DDCE) provides expertise, consultation, guidance, advocacy tools, training and information that enables the company to attain and maintain clinical operation standards, regulatory compliance, and business goals with an emphasis on Clinical Education and Infection Prevention and Control activities. The primary duty of the DDCE is the performance of work related to the support and achievement of clinical education, Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Training Programs, and infection prevention and control operational goals, delivering continuous professional support and resources for clinical practice in these areas while complying with state and federal law and Company policy.
Qualifications/Education:
Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of assignment/employment. Preferably hold a bachelor’s degree from a (4) four-year college or university, four (4) to five (5) years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have proven leadership ability with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in nursing service administration. Must have completed specialized training in infection prevention and control (i.e., CDC’s infection prevention and control modules or other qualified infection control education). Any additional state-specific training required for the position will be completed at the earliest available opportunity (i.e., SPICE in North Carolina) Must possess at least two (2) years’ experience teaching and/or training adult learners in a clinical setting Comply with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies, and procedures including but not limited to those within the Compliance Process, Code of Conduct and HIPPA. Has an in-depth knowledge of the effective direction, management, and operation of State-approved CNA Training Programs in states that the DDCE is assigned, including State-specific requirements for curricula, teaching methods, and clinical skill development of training programs participants. Represents the Divisional clinical operations at professional clinical services organizations and consults with industry experts for current state or practice and trends in the provision of clinical education, infection prevention and control, and resident care and services.
