Full Job Description Hours:

8:00 – 5:00 Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

The Community Health Oral Health Manager provides oversight to the Community Oral Health department with direct supervision of the school-based oral health program, community outreach, and coordination of mobile units and Community Health Unit. The Program Manager develops and maintains community relationships with schools and organizations that may have limited access to dental care. The Program Manager handles customer service concerns, maintains revenue and expenses within the projected budget for the community oral health program and any relevant grants.

Primary Responsibilities:

Coordinates services related to community oral health program Creates and strengthens community partnerships Tracks and manages grant associated with community oral health programs Helps guide dental division strategic planning with dental leadership team Supervises community oral health program

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in public health, community health, sociology, psychology, human services or related field of study and two years of experience in public health and/or program management or equivalent combination of education and experience.

License:

Valid NC driver’s license

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to deal tactfully with others and to exercise good judgment in appraising situations and making decisions Must be able to secure the cooperation of community partners, to elicit needed information and to maintain effective working relationships Accurately record services rendered and interpret and explain records, reports, and medical instruction Knowledge of the principles and practices of public health, administration, personnel, grants, budgeting, supervision knowledge of case management programs and community agencies Our Mission To improve individual and community health through services, education, and collaborative action.
