Overview
JOB SUMMARY
Under administrative review, responsible for the overall operations of an intensive outpatient chemical dependency treatment program.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field of study with five years of experience in clinical substance abuse counseling and education required. Experience managing and marketing intensive outpatient programs required. Experience in research and education preferred. LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or
REGISTRATION
Licensed clinical practitioner with experience in counseling substance abuse patients (LCAS, LPC, CCS).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Oversees the planning development, marketing, administration and evaluation of an intensive outpatient chemical dependency treatment program and the buprenorphine treatment programs. 2. Maintains National Accreditation with the Council of Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities. 3. Functions as a clinician in the counseling of patients by conducting therapy sessions, and developing treatment plans. Obtains authorizations from managed careanizations to assure reimbursement. 4. Coordinates and/or implements all operational policies and procedures related to the functioning of the program. 5. Represents the program to all related managed carepanies andanizations serving as the program liaison, spokesperson and representative. Establishes external contacts w chemical dependency health education services are needed. 6. Supervises and coordinates personnel activities, including hiring, performance evaluation reviews, merit rmendations and vacation schedules. 7. Provides a system of budgetary control for the program,piles, and prepares financial progress reports. 8. Identifies, investigates and resolves client-related problems. Responsible for maintaining high clinical quality and oues of the program. 9. Directs the development of administrative documents, manuals, records and reports relevant to program. 10. Participates in departmental teaching with residents, medical students and research activities as appropriate. 11. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described in.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with personnel in various departments as well as outside providers,munity agencies, health departments, etc. Highlyanized with the capacity for multitasking in a fast paced environment Excellentputer skills with the capacity to learn electronic medical record and scheduling systems quickly Knowledge of
HIV/AIDS
disease and/or experience working with people living with HIV a strong preference Strong familiarity of Forsyth and surrounding county transit systems Familiarity with dealing with cultural issues in diverse, underserved population
