Job Summary:
The Hospitality Sales Manager will be responsible for sourcing, developing, and maintaining group business for the resort. This includes managing relationships with existing group clients while actively prospecting for new opportunities in corporate, association, social, and other group segments. The ideal candidate is proactive, relationship-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow group room nights and event revenue. Manage a portfolio of existing group clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business. Prospect for new group business through networking, industry events, outbound sales calls, and RFP responses. Conduct site inspections and resort tours for potential clients. Negotiate contracts and proposals that align with resort revenue goals. Collaborate with operations, catering, and revenue management teams to ensure seamless event execution and optimal profitability. Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in the CRM system. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities. Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
Qualifications:
3+ years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, preferably with a resort or full-service hotel. Proven track record in group sales, with demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience with CRM systems (Delphi, Salesforce, etc.) is a plus. Knowledge of hospitality trends and group business segments. Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
