Full Time Position Summary:
The Clinical Skills and Simulation Coordinator at Campbell University’s Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine (CUSOM) is a key team member of the CUSOM Simulation Center team, supporting the delivery of hands-on, high-impact medical education. The coordinator will work closely with faculty, staff, students, standardized patients, and clinical partners to ensure the seamless delivery of educational experiences. As such, the coordinator must be organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about medical education and student support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Scheduling and Operations Coordinate and assist with management of schedules for Clinical Skills sessions, OSCEs, and other Simulation Center activities.
Maintain the master calendar for simulation and procedural events, ensuring clear communication and preventing scheduling conflicts.
Act as a point person for requests from outside the department for simulation room. reservations, equipment usage, and procedural requests using established request forms.
Assist with ongoing SSH accreditation by helping to maintain required documentation. Communication and Engagement Serve as a liaison for student inquiries, admissions team simulation questions, and outside groups utilizing the Simulation Center.
Facilitate communication between students, faculty, and external partners regarding simulation scheduling, expectations, and logistics.
Manage the distribution, collection, and tracking of session feedback forms for students and faculty. Clinical Skills, OSCE & Ultrasound Support Assist in the preparation, setup, and teardown of Clinical Skills, OSCE, and ultrasound training sessions.
Provide backup support for managing OSCE hallways, standardized patient check-ins, and real-time logistics.
Monitor and respond to the SP (Standardized Patient) program inbox, send casting calls, and coordinate session reminders.
Help coordinate and support ultrasound skills training and events, including those held in collaboration with external partners. Administrative and Technical Support Oversee QR code check-in/check-out processes for student attendance and session tracking.
Organize, scan, and maintain educational and administrative documentation; support secure document handling and disposal following CUSOM and university policies.
Provide basic IT and A/V support during simulation sessions; assist with setup and troubleshooting of simulation equipment.
Assist with coordination and documentation of shipment receipt and inventory placement.
Collaborate with the Simulation Technology team for cross-training and shared responsibilities. Additional Responsibilities Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Uphold and abide by Campbell University policies and procedures, including but not limited to Title IX, and Information Security, including but not limited to; HIPAA, FERPA and other state and federal mandates.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Prior experience in clinical education, medical simulation, logistics or academic coordination preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) with strong computer literacy.
Experience in a higher education or non-profit sector desired.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, with a commitment to accuracy and follow-through. Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of healthcare environments and an interest in medical education strongly preferred. Detail-oriented with a logistics-minded approach. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to practice closed-loop communication. Ability to communicate effectively to all groups through both oral and written channels. Flexible, team-oriented, and willing to take initiative. Interest in simulation education technology and willingness to learn new systems. Passion for serving students and contributing to the mission of Campbell University and CUSOM. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and standard methods of digital communication, including web/text/chat platforms, along with the ability to learn and utilize new and emerging technology. Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy and discretion in dealing with faculty, staff, students, university officials, external stakeholders, and the public. Work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people. Adaptability, flexibility and a willingness to work in a changing environment. Ability to work occasional evening or weekend hours and assist with special CUSOM and university events.
