Develops and manages major projects, initiatives and/or departments as designated in the areas of budget development and analysis, business planning, capital management, and productivity management. Serves as a key liaison on decision support, finance, and information services. May supervise others. Essential Functions Plans, implements, and evaluates projects, services, policies and procedures with the goal of ongoing performance improvement. Participates in the decision-making structure and processes with administrative and clinical leadership and medical team members. Develops and manages the materials for leadership and administrative team meetings. Develops and manages systems, policies and procedures for the department. Prepares financial analyses to evaluate initiatives and assists the leadership team in the development of the annual financial and strategic plans. Oversees research on designated topics and benchmarks with current literature and evidenced based practices in healthcare. Serves as Administrator-On-Call and manages the call schedule. Provides effective and coordinated leadership in the development of and presentation of business unit plans. Works effectively with other disciplines. Assures effective communications occur between other disciplines, nursing services and leadership. Assists with facility-wide event planning, manages the intern program, and the annual physician satisfaction survey process, including the associated action plan to ensure high levels of physician engagement. Physical Requirements Must continuously be able to stand, and have use of both hands and all fingers, speak clearly, hear, and see less than 20 inches and a distance of more than 20 ft. Requires inside work with occasional intermittent noise and exposure to conditions such as dust, fumes, and chemicals. Has critical thinking and ability to concentrate. One must be able to respond quickly in stressful situations. Educational Experience Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health or other related field preferred. 5 years of related work experience in progressively complex roles. Has excellent organizational ability, with strong skills in public speaking, training techniques and effective leadership techniques.
