Job Description

OR Material Management System Coordinator- Atrium Health Pineville- FT 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars 10628 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210 Overview Job Summary Responsible for the acquisition and maintenance of stock and non-stock inventory for the OR. Facilitates the purchasing process through communications with vendors, OR team, surgeons and materials management by using documentation systems and problem-solving relating to price, quantity, quality, availability and contracts. Essential Functions Manages the daily activities of the Materials Resource Management department’s functional areas. Develops and implements policies and procedures for the facility that complement Corporate Materials Resource Management policies/procedures. Trains, orients, assigns, and directs the daily activities of departmental personnel to provide coverage/services that meets the requirements of the facility. Reviews monthly financial responsibility reports for variances and discrepancies and submits reports to the Director explaining the variances/discrepancies. Performs teammate appraisals, individual counseling sessions and development of IDP are conducted in a timely manner. Conducts/documents at minimum quarterly inspections of supply areas to ensure cleanliness, rotation of products, expiration dates and PAR levels are managed to ensure patient care is not compromised. Physical Requirements Frequent walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing and pulling. Must be able to lift and support medical equipment and supplies. Good finger dexterity. Flexible hours. Subject to many interruptions. Potential to blood borne pathogens. Education, Experience and Certifications Graduate of an approved OR Tech Program. Minimum of 3-5 years in an acute hospital setting scrubbing all types of surgical procedures. Must possess knowledge of OR computer system.
