At Speech Inspirations, we provide personalized therapy for children and adults in North Carolina, addressing speech, language, feeding, swallowing, occupational, and developmental needs. Our therapists work one on one in natural settings like daycares, homes, and pre-school, plus our offices or remotely via teletherapy. We also place therapists in school-based settings. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Patient Services Manager to join our team.
Position Overview:
As the Patient Services Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of by overseeing patient intake, customer service, and coordinating the overall patient experience. You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of patient care, managing patient relations, and supporting the operational needs of the therapy team. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational and leadership skills, and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the patient intake process. Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, caregivers, and family members. Collaborate with Therapy staff to ensure patient needs are met. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements. Address and resolve patient concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to patient satisfaction, service delivery, and operational efficiency. Train and supervise patient services staff to ensure high standards of service and professionalism. Work closely with all divisions to ensure Speech Inspirations meets financial and operational goals.
Qualifications:
Education:
Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, business administration, or a related field (required)
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare or therapy setting, with at least 1 year in a management or supervisory role. Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including insurance verification and patient privacy regulations (HIPAA). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a passion for helping others. The ability to cross-train with other divisions to support organizational needs. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general office software.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a speech and/or occupational therapy clinic. Knowledge of speech and occupational therapy treatments, terminology, and processes. Bilingual (Spanish, etc.) is a plus.
