Role:
We are looking for a Qualified Professional (QP) to take the lead as our Peer Support Supervisor —a pivotal leadership role overseeing the expansion, training, compliance, and performance of our Peer Support Services program. This in-person and field-based role includes both administrative leadership and direct client services. You will support, train, and supervise Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS), onboard new hires, and help grow the program into new regions . You will also provide services directly to clients as needed and assist with the development and maintenance of Person-Centered Plans (PCPs). You’ll play a critical part in motivating your team—not only to support their clients—but to help expand peer support services .
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership, Training, and Supervision:
Supervise and manage a team of Certified Peer Support Specialists and paraprofessionals. Develop individualized supervision plans and conduct weekly team supervision meetings. Provide initial and ongoing training and onboarding for new peer support team members. Ensure staff deliver services that align with NC Clinical Coverage Policy 8G. Monitor documentation for compliance and clinical effectiveness.
Program Growth & Outreach:
Lead the expansion of the peer support program into new service areas. Support and guide staff in client outreach and engagement. Encourage and oversee team participation in new client recruitment. Team members are eligible for bonuses when they successfully meet goals.
Direct Client Support:
Deliver community-based services as a Qualified Professional (QP) Develop, update, and approve Person-Centered Plans (PCPs) in accordance with NC Medicaid policy. Assist with clinical oversight, functional assessments, and service planning.
Compliance & Coordination:
Ensure services, authorizations, and documentation meet Medicaid and agency standards. Participate in weekly team meetings and coordinate care with clinical leadership. Support internal quality control and outcome tracking across all peer support operations. Qualifications (Must meet NC QP requirements under 10A
NCAC 27G .0104
): Must meet one of the following: Master’s degree in a human services field + 1 year of
MH/DD/SAS
experience. Bachelor’s degree in a human services field + 2 years of
MH/DD/SAS
experience. Bachelor’s degree in a non-human services field + 4 years of
MH/DD/SAS
experience. Licensed or provisionally licensed human services professional in NC (e.g., LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT, LCAS).
Additional Requirements:
Prior experience leading or supervising a peer support or behavioral health team. Strong understanding of recovery principles and Medicaid Policy 8G. Experience creating or reviewing Person-Centered Plans (PCPs). Ability to write and review professional documentation. Comfortable meeting clients in person and/or virtually from the office. Must attend weekly team meetings and help support overall agency goals.
Compensation & Bonus Opportunities:
