ADMINISTRATOR
Full Time, Days Job Description:

Directly supervises the Facility Department Directors and is responsible for assuring that employees in all departments perform their jobs appropriately.
Establishes and maintains personnel policies and department policies and procedures; and assures that these policies and procedures are carried out by the staff.
Follows policies and procedures forpliance with federal, state, and local standards for Nursing Facility operation, and reviewspliance of staff with policies and procedures.
Interviews and selectspetent personnel to supervise/direct activities of all departments.
Participates in and conducts in-service training for supervisory personnel and staff.
Prepares an annual budget for the facility and evaluates the financial status of the facility monthly.
Represents the Nursing Facility in various outside activities and in dealing with various agencies including governmental and third party payers.

Job Requirements:

Prefer a four year degree and a minimum of four years supervisory experience in a Nursing Facility.
A valid N.C. license to operate as a Nursing Home Administrator.
Sound knowledge of personnel administration and must be able to supervise all employees.<
A sound knowledge of local, Federal and State regulations, Medicare and Medicaid regulations, nursing and medical practices and procedures, and any other laws pertaining to Nursing Facility operation.
Ability to promote public relations.
Ability to interpret financial statements and prepare monthly reports for Long Term Care Management Services.
Ability to keep abreast of changes in the Nursing Home industry.
Ability to make independent decisions and work well under pressure.
