Summary:

In order to assure smooth coordination of program development and the quality program delivery, the general duties and obligations of the Team Leader will include, but are not limited to the following: active facilitation of program development at all levels; daily guidance of the PT/OT inpatient program; development of the clinical programs; guidance of the treatment team to assure compliance with treatment plan and objectives; training of teammates; coordination of program patient care needs; establish workflow processes to function efficiently 50% as a staff therapist and 50% leader role.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinates the Therapy Team schedules under the general direction of the Program Manager or designee. 2. Coordinates assigned personnel, under the general supervision of the Program Manager or designee. 3. Participates in planning the department’s future. 4. Coordinates / orients student field work education. 5. Collaborates and communicates with staff, management, physicians, and ancillary departments to facilitate the delivery of safe, effective, and timely services. 6. Routinely monitors the provision of services provided, and takes steps to correct deficiencies, omissions, and other problems. 7. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care based on the age of the patients served. 8. Oversees the set-up, operation and maintenance of equipment and staff work areas. 9. Provide personnel practices that pertain to the following: The orientation of new employees to the Facility and its personnel policies. Assist with the maintenance of an accurate, current, and complete personnel record for each employee. Participates in periodic performance evaluations, based on a job description, of each employee. 10. Completes other duties as assigned.

  • Clinical License in Respective Therapy Discipline
PT, OT, PTA, COTA
  • Licensure/Certification Requirements:
  • BCLS Certification
  • Current NC license to practice in educational discipline.
  • Professional Experience Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in Physical or Occupational Therapy Services.
