Job Description

Quality Director-Healthcare Expert Staffing Roxboro, NC 27573 Position Overview A regional healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Quality Director to lead its risk management, regulatory compliance, and patient safety programs. This is a high-impact leadership role with broad responsibilities, including oversight of claims, internal audits, staff education, and adherence to accreditation standards. The role also serves as the facility’s Patient Safety Officer and chairs the internal ethics committee. Key Responsibilities Lead risk management activities, including claims investigations in collaboration with legal counsel. Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of patient safety programs and regulatory compliance initiatives. Direct and support audits, both internal and external, ensuring continuous accreditation readiness. Analyze risk-related data and provide actionable insights to senior leadership. Develop departmental strategies and performance goals aligned with clinical, legal, and ethical standards. Supervise staff hiring, evaluations, training, and performance management. Facilitate education and compliance training for employees, providers, board members, and leadership. Promote a culture of safety and professional development throughout the organization. Maintain all standards related to confidentiality, ethics, and corporate compliance. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree required Licensure Current and active North Carolina RN license or multistate compact license required Experience Minimum 2 years in healthcare risk management or claims Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a clinical or quality-related leadership role Management/supervisory experience preferred Familiarity with OSHA and JCAHO standards is a plus Background in medical or pharmaceutical sales is helpful, but not required Skills & Attributes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Public speaking and training capabilities Ability to function calmly and effectively in high-stress situations Strong collaboration skills and experience working cross-functionally with physicians, nursing, and administrative staff Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and retirement plan Paid time off Tuition assistance for continuing education (after one year of full-time service) Relocation support available for eligible candidates
