JobSummaryProvides key accountability and oversight of enterprise-wideperioperative services and is responsible for planning, organizing,and directing all clinical, financial, and operational aspects ofthe perioperative administrative services department. Efficientlymanages the associated physical, financial, and human resources,and establishes the annual departmental operational goals andobjectives in alignment with Prisma Health goals. Providesleadership and management for PH Periop Admin Svcs which includesPerioperative Scheduling, Revenue/Charging, PI/Quality/PerformanceImprovement, and Materials Management for all surgery, anesthesia,and GI sites as well as ambulatory surgery centers. Assists withdevelopment of strategic goals across perioperative services acrossPrisma Health. This position provides guidance and administrativesupport for all provider-based operations where surgical servicesexist, including strategic feedback to align the business structureof perioperative services to optimize system-wide financial andoperation metrics and results. This individual will serve as apartner with operational and service line executives, directors,and managers for surgical related opportunities. This positionreports directly to the Vice President of Ambulatory and ServiceLines with a strong alignment with the Medical Director forperioperative services.

Provides effective leadership by managing, coordinating, andintegrating services to ensure Prisma Health perioperativeoperations provide the necessary resources related to clinical,financial, and operational functions for all Prisma Healthperioperative sites. Works with the Medical Director of Perioperative Services todevelop a comprehensive inter- professional approach to achievecare delivery excellence throughout the patient care continuum thatmeasurably improves quality, creates holistic, patient centeredcare experiences, and reduces healthcare costs by reducing wasteand optimizing the value proposition. Provides effective leadershipby managing, coordinating, and integrating services to ensurePrisma Health perioperative operations provide the necessaryresources related to clinical, financial, and operational functionsfor all Prisma Health perioperative sites. Directs the development, implementation, and evaluation ofprograms for Prisma Health perioperative operations. Directsstandardization, systemization, and performance improvementinitiatives across perioperative services. Directs perioperative charging and revenue captureoperations. Develops short- and long-term strategy and goal setting forinpatient and outpatient surgical service line (including ASCs) toensure strategic perioperative objectives are met. Identifies, establishes and evaluates quality and patientsafety standards, programs and procedures within perioperativeservices. Develops and monitors departmental budget. Assists in thedevelopment and monitoring of perioperative services operationaland capital budgets. Accountable for final decision regarding assigned workactivities, coaching and counselling, mentorship, deliveringcorrective action, evaluation performance, scheduling, approvingtime off, hiring, termination and training. Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/ManagementResponsibilities Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of team members thatmay include final budget authority, hire/termination authority,performance appraisal responsibility and disciplinary authority.

Job will be considered a member of management staff at PrismaHealth or affiliate and will have direct reports.

MinimumRequirements Education – Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare or relatedfield of study. Experience – Five (5) years leadership experience in healthcareoperations. Perioperative services experience preferred.

In Lieu Of NARequired Certifications, Registrations, Licenses NAKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of daily operations in surgical services Computer skills including Excel and Word. Analytical support and critical thinking skills Ability to manage priorities and effectively multi-task withattention to details. Ability to build and maintain internal and externalrelationships including physicians, department directors/managers,and executives.
