The role you’ll contribute:
The Patient Experience Coordinator is a representative of AdventHealth that has daily contact with patients, their families, and all AdventHealth staff. Effectively collaborates with Department Leaders, Practice Leaders, Providers and support staff. Provides service recovery and develops a proactive approach to improving the patient experience with the goal of providing Personalized Patient Care, Every Patient, Every Time. Must present a friendly, positive and professional image with strong credibility while encountering patients, visitors, staff, physicians and volunteers. Requires compassion, sensitivity and empathy toward patients and families. Must help facilitate communication between patients and the leadership team and must display excellent communication skills and the ability to keep leadership informed of potential issues which may need to be addressed
The value you’ll bring to the team
- Monitors patient experience data collected by Press Ganey, including scores, comments and Bullseyes.
- Prepares and distributes reports to leadership on a monthly basis. Providing feedback and support regarding the data to help identify improvement opportunities, analyze patient feedback and Patient Experience Initiatives
. - Coordinates and manages the Performance Review Committee’s expectations and works with leaders to identify priorities and departmental outcome goals.
- Develops plans for ongoing program evaluation and development to improve the patient experience.
- Assists in maintaining a focus on patient experience through weekly leadership meetings and communications.
- Manages Press Ganey access and trains all new leaders on its functionality
- Assists with entering new employees and assigning direct reports in the Huron (formally MyRounding) application.
- Manages the AMN Healthcare Language Services (formally Stratus) for non-English speaking patients. Coordinates any in person needs with WIN (Western Carolina Interpreter Network) for any patient need that the interpreter on the iPad will not suffice.
- Assists in receiving patient complaints or grievances and relaying information to appropriate leaders in order to resolve concerns by investigating and developing an appropriate service recovery response to meet the timeline outlined in policy.
- Identifies trends in types, areas, and sources of complaints.
Refers physician quality of care complaints to the Office of Clinical Effectiveness, CMO, and CNO. Refers safety complaints to the Safety Officer and appropriate leadership.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
High School diploma
Minimum of three years of experience required in a healthcare setting, communications, public relations, education or patient care field
