Job Description

Clinical Manager Wake Radiology UNC REX Healthcare Holly Springs, NC 27540 Wake Radiology is seeking a Radiology Clinic Coordinator to provide oversight and coordination of imaging services in outpatient setting including mammography, CT, ultrasound, diagnostic X-Ray, fluoroscopy, and DEXA. This individual will perform imaging studies in the outpatient setting. Responsible for the day-to-day workflow of the imaging team, including ensuring quality of work, meeting daily staffing needs, and maintaining compliance with imaging standards. The offices are located in the Fuquay Varina Holly Springs area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Review patient scheduling, participate in supervisor and staff meetings, maintain open dialog with Radiologists and Administration. Evaluate and monitor staff work performance for high quality, accuracy and adherence to departmental policies and procedures. Communicates information to the Regional Manager. Assists staff with adherence to departmental PACS policies and procedures. Maintains working knowledge of Radiology Information System to verify that procedures are appropriately ordered and billed. Performs diagnostic imaging tests and procedures following established policies and protocols. Coordinates staff rotation to all areas ensuring variation to maintain staff competency. Monitors staff competencies and reports issues to the Regional Manager. Ensures rooms and equipment are in good operating condition. Troubleshoots equipment problems and contacts service for repairs. Coordinates service to minimize room down time. Reports equipment problems to Management. Leads team members in providing exceptional service and care of the highest quality. Instrumental in keeping up to date on new technologies and standards on a national level. Coordinates work of technical staff to include: Training of staff, planning, assigning, directing and prioritizing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Provides input regarding employee performance. Educates, assists and oversees student technologists. Maintain clinical competency within his/her discipline. Education and Experience Associate’s degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program. ARRT or ARDMS certification required in order to be considered. Registered or certified in a specific Radiologic discipline by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences. Must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually. Ability to effectively lead and manage a team. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
