This temporary position is located in Raleigh, NC – Wake County.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay:
$35.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 225 N McDowell St, Raleigh, NC 27603. This position will serve as the OneHealth Outreach Coordinator in the Medical Consultation Unit of the Communicable Disease Branch. OneHealth is an approach that recognizes that the health of people is closely connected to the health of animals and our shared environment and encourages collaborative efforts of many experts working across human, animal, and environmental health to improve the health of people and animals, including pets, livestock, and wildlife. This position will coordinate outreach efforts with national, state, and local partners including poultry employers, dairy farm owners, and agricultural professional associations to provide education and prevent novel influenza infections including influenza A(H5N1) and other viral respiratory diseases with pandemic potential in humans. Experience in community and agricultural industry outreach Basic working knowledge of communicable diseases prevention Effective oral and written communication and ability to tailor communication to a level appropriate for the target audience and effective data visualization.
