out of 5 stars Wilson, NC 27893 JOB Wilson County Health Department is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Supervisor II to lead and support our nursing team. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality patient care, provide leadership to nursing staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and staff performance.
Work Schedule:
The normal work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, there are times when additional hours or weekend work may be required to meet departmental needs.
Compensation:
Commensurate with education and experience.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Description of Work:
The primary purpose of this position is provide supervisory and administrative work in directing and managing clinic operations and staff in the Personal Health Division of the Wilson County Health Department.
Essential Functions Include:
Direct day to day operations of the clinic including staffing, problem solving, managing flow, and assuring excellent customer service.
Assist in writing and reviewing protocols.
Assure staff adheres to NCBON directives and Wilson County policies and procedures policies and procedures.
Manage daily staff performance documenting yearly performance review and as needed throughout year.
Collect and analyze data related to program outcomes.
Promotion of team building and morale enhancement through activities, staff growth and positive leadership exampleWork alongside staff participating in busy clinics providing provider support, vaccines, procedures, triage, and anticipatory guidance.
Coordinate clinic flow with necessary staff.
Assist in conjunction with designated staff members in monitoring the temperature of refrigerators/freezers in the clinical areas to ensure proper storage of vaccines on a daily basis.
Make sure that the clinics have an adequate supply of medications, syringes, or other equipment necessary to maintain daily functions. This includes receiving and storing vaccines and supplies when received.
Prepare schedules for clinical and interpreter staff for daily clinics and additional after-hours clinics if needed.
Attend necessary meetings and trainings.
Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Coordinate and participate in community outreach activities.
Other duties as deemed necessary by the Health Director
