Overview The Dartmouth-Hitchcock Pharmacy in Lebanon, NH seeks a full-time Lead Pharmacist to join our Inpatient team. This lead pharmacist position will serve as the leader for our cardiology pharmacy services. Consults with nursing and medical staff on prescription orders, patient reactions, and errors or complaints. Conducts drug utilization reviews and prepares drug review criteria for medical staff approval. Monitors drug therapies as assigned by medical staff and suggests alternatives. Joining the Inpatient Pharmacy team at Dartmouth-Hitchcock means you will work closely with a large team with diverse areas of specialty. Our supportive leadership prioritizes practice improvement initiatives as well as opportunities for staff to engage in research and multidisciplinary committees. The collaborative and collegial environment throughout the institution will enable you to provide the best care possible to your patients. Our ideal candidate is residency trained and has prior hospital experience, though all are encouraged to apply.

Schedule:

Rotating 8-hour day and evening shifts between 6:00 AM-10:00 PM with rotating weekend coverage. We offer 10% evening, 20% night, and 15% weekend shift differentials when applicable. Dartmouth is the best where it matters most!

Tuition Reimbursement:

Up to $3,000 per year.

Paid Time Off:

1. Provides comprehensive pharmacy care and oversight of specialty Reviews patient drug therapy and care plan with medical staff and other health care professionals. Provides pharmacokinetic dosing and other drug therapy consultations. Manages the pharmaceutical care of speci?c patients.
2. Develops and assesses the clinical pharmacy program/service. 6. Serves as a preceptor for students/residents rotating through specialty practice
7. Act as pharmacist-in-charge in the absence of pharmacy managers and supervisors.

The pharmacist responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the operation of the pharmacy. This includes but is not limited to: managing staff, ensuring compliance to all applicable state and federal guidelines, and maintaining the inventory of all medications.

  • Graduate of an ACPE
  • accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • 1 year of combined clinical pharmacy/specialty and/or residency experience required. Pharm D preferred.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, as well as demonstrated interpersonal and team skills essential.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision, with the ability to set priorities and make critical decisions. Required Licensure/Certifications
  • Must have a current, unrestricted pharmacist licensed to practice in the state of NH
  • BLS Certification within 30 days of hire for Clinical Pharmacist Leads in the Retail & Specialty Pharmacy if required to administer immunizations
