Elliot Hospital’s Women’s and Children’s Services are dedicated toaddressing the specific health and wellness needs of women andtheir children. Options for Labor and Delivery include nitrousoxide, epidural anesthesia, surgical safety compliant with WorldHealth Organization guidelines for cesarean births and more.•Onaverage, there are 150-180 deliveries per month, 10 beds with 2 ORsand a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3. Job:

The Resource Nurse directly oversees and serves as an immediate,first line clinical resource to staff on the floor of Labor andDelivery.•The RRN will demonstrates well developed clinicalcompetencies appropriate to the floor when providing direct patientcare or guiding staff. The position will function as an integralmember of the L&D management team and will work to ensureoperations of unit on assigned shift are running efficiently.•TheRRN will adhere to the values under the EHS Professional PracticeModel which guide all dimensions of practice.

What You’ll Do:

Participates in professional enhancement activities includingmembership in hospital-wide committees, health system initiatives,development of education materials, professional associationactivities Provides support and leadership to the Fitch team in developingintegrated approaches to care including assisting staff with theprovision of care to assigned patients and assuming a partialpatient assignment Works in partnership with and serves as a resource to medical stafffor relevant clinical issues Collaborates and supports the Clinical Nurse Manager Teams up with the Clinical Nurse Manager to effectively controlcosts through innovative and economical utilization of personnel,materials and equipment Supports the department’s Shared Governance structure and isaccountable for quality improvement outcomes

Who You Are:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ASN or BSN•BSNpreferred) Minimum of two (2) years of current experience in an acute caresetting required (Labor and Delivery experience required) Current New Hampshire, compact, or multistate licensure asRegistered Nurse required Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period andmaintain during employment•ACLS preferred
