Patient Care Coordinator Duties:
  • Greet and check-in patients at the front desk
  • Schedule appointments and manage the patient appointment calendar
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Collect patient information and update medical records
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers
  • Assist with billing and coding processes
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
Skills:
  • Proficient in office administration tasks, including scheduling, filing, and data entry
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Experience working at the front desk of a medical office or healthcare facility
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to provide excellent patient service
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
  • Ability to navigate complex healthcare systems and coordinate care for patients
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
