Summary
Serves the employees, patients, andmunity of Saint Joseph Hospital (SJH) through Mission Integration programs and initiatives. Supports the Director of Mission Integration & Spiritual Care to promote SJH’s mission and values in line with the mission, values, and heritage of Covenant Health.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry.
Provides administrative function to the Mission Department.
Manages and facilitates the Mission Activities Committee.
Manages and orchestrates all Mission charity drives, including Christmas Basket Drive.
Manages and supports the operation of the SJH Food Pantry & Joseph’s Closet for DME.
Coordinates all volunteer activities related to Mission activities.
Assists and helps to facilitate d’Youville Fund requests.
Assists in supervising all Spiritual Care staff, including Chaplains and Eucharistic Ministers.
Supports Ethics Committee and inpatient ethics consults.
Other duties as consistent with this role.

Strong knowledge ofmunity resources for assisting those most in need.
Familiarity with and a willingness to promote the mission and core values of SJH as well as the Ethical & Religious Directives (ERDs) of the Catholic Church.
Knowledge and/or experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Canva, Point, Adobe, and any related administrative platforms as needed.
An ability to collaborate with and encourage the work of others.
Be able to maintain highest level of confidentiality.
Highlyanized, can multitask, and demonstrates initiative and creativity.
Strong written and oralmunication skills.
Demonstrate good interpersonal relationship skills with both professional and non
- professional persons at every level of employment.
Education & Experience
College degree in social work or human services related field preferred.
Two to five years’ experience in health care and/or mission related service to the poor preferred.
An equivalentbination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with this position that involves abination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Occasional lifting/carrying up to 35 lbs. Some stress related to high level of responsibility for quality care.
