Job:

The Executive Director, Managed Care Contractor provides strategic and operational leadership for all aspects of managed care contracting across SNHH. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer / Sr. VP Finance, this role oversees fee-for-service and risk-based contracts, ensures compliance with legislation, and maximizes organizational performance through effective contract management and payer relations.

What You’ll Do:

Lead negotiation and renewal of managed care contracts with commercial payers and partners Maintain strong payer relationships and serve as the internal liaison for payer strategy Direct and participate in value-based contracting and ACO initiatives Oversee financial modeling to support strategic priorities Review contract language with legal counsel and ensure compliance with regulatory changes Monitor market trends, reimbursement legislation, and payer-driven initiatives Serve as point of contact for contractual and reimbursement matters Collaborate with Finance and Medical Management to resolve claims issues Contribute to system-wide contracting strategies aligned with organizational goals Who You Are /

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred 5-7 years of progressive leadership in managed care contracting Experience with managed care contract methodologies and Medicare reimbursement Skilled in negotiation, communication, and problem-solving Strong analytical abilities and a thorough understanding of healthcare reimbursement models Proven ability to build relationships across departments and with external partners
