Job DescriptionA medical assistant program director oversees thecertificate or degree program at a vocational school or communitycollege that trains aspiring medical assistants. As a medicalassistant program director, your job duties include collaboratingwith faculty to develop curriculum, assessing the instructionalneeds of students and making adjustments to the program asnecessary, creating class schedules, and hiring and training staffand faculty. You may also be responsible for recruiting students tothe program and maintaining accreditation.
Other duties include: Responsible for leveraging their expertise to develop,maintain, and deliver education services to students by creatingand maintaining core curriculum, ensuring delivery of corecurriculum, preparing course plans and material, supervising staff,and overseeing the MA Program. Monitor and manage student progress and attendance, studentadvising, and grade reporting. Ensure continuous compliance with Federal, State, andInstitutional accreditation agencies.
Qualifications Skills must have: 3 years in a Program Director role in aneducational facility, along with 3 years as an MA in thefield.
