The purpose of the IRF-PAI Coordinator is to ensure accurate and correct coding for all inpatient admissions to NRHN as outlined by the CMS final ruling. The position requires effective communication and integration of admission information with the Case Management Department, Medical Record Department, and physicians to ensure clinical and fiscal management of each patient based upon the medical/clinical assessment and ongoing management of the patient’s clinical and medical needs. To qualify you must… Clinical degree and current license to practice as an RN, PT, OT, or SLP, with 3-5 years of experience and an understanding of documentation requirements for the rehabilitation process and/or experience in Minimum Data Set (“MDS”) reporting, PPS Coordinator Certification encouraged. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work autonomously. Good hearing and sight to adequately communicate with patients, rehabilitation staff and physicians.
