Works cooperatively with all members ofthe care team to support the vision and mission of theorganization, deliver excellent customer service and adhere to Leanprocesses. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical, andservice goals.
Working Hours:
A 40-hour work week between the hoursof 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through

PrimaryResponsibilities:
- Obtain accurate and updated patientinformation, such as name, address, insurance information
- Performinsurance verification on the date of service
- Obtain patientsignatures for required documents
- Upload a valid Governmentissued state ID of patient and patient insurance cards
- Accurateand complete occupational medicine registration workflow
- File,scan, and maintain medical records
- Performs telephonicresponsibilities to include confirming and schedule appointments,discussing patient questions to providers
- Answer telephone callspromptly and courteously
- Collects co-pays or outstanding balanceson the date of service
- Performs certain follow-up services forpatients in a prompt and courteous manner, such as schedulingfollow-up appointments and obtaining copies lab results orspecialist reports
- Adhere to the standards identified via Sparqregarding Optum Employee Policies
- Work cohesively with fellowemployees to achieve specific team goals
- Keep abreast on currentmedical requirements relevant to their position, which includesmaintaining patient confidentiality and abiding by all HIPAA andOSHA requirements
- Comfortable working in high pace environment
- Participate in planning, coordinating, and implementing care inconjunction with the multidisciplinary team in accordance with thePlan of Care
- Assure the continuity of care through scheduling andtracking systems
- Provide effective communication to patient /family team members and other health care professionals asevidenced by documentation, case conferences, communication notes,and evaluations
- Provide accurate data in compliance withPerformance Improvement tracking
- Comply with administrativepolicies to ensure quality of care
- Demonstrate precision andefficiency in scanning documents and monitoring the fax server,retrieving and / or scanning documents and assigning to theappropriate electronic chart
- Participate in orientation(scheduling segment) of new field employees and distribute updatesand changes as needed

Required Qualifications:
- High SchoolDiploma/GED (or higher)
- 1 years of experience working in amedical front office position performing duties such as schedulingappointments, checking patients in/out, insurance verification,collecting co-pays and balances due, and maintaining medicalrecords
- Intermediate level of computer proficiency (multi-taskingthrough multiple applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel,and Word)
- Ability to travel 10% of the time if needed to float toother practices
- Access to reliable transportation & valid USdriver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 years of healthcareor customer service-related experience
- 1 years of experience withworking knowledge of Epic EMR software

- Ability towork independently and maintain good judgment and accountability
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers

- Excellent verbaland written communication skills; ability to speak clearly andconcisely, conveying information in a manner that others canunderstand, as well as ability to understand and interpretinformation from others The salary range for this role is $16.
88 to$33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based onseveral factors including but not limited to local labor markets,education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Groupcomplies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
