Job Description
Health Service Coordinator 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars Tinton Falls, NJ 07724 1. Provide technical and administrative support for outpatient psychiatry, primary care, and mental health counseling clinical services. 2. Perform and/or supervise the following functions: answering telephones; scheduling appointments; verifying eligibility; registering patients and checking them in and out; making referrals and obtaining authorizations; abstracting patient records and coding diagnoses and procedures; posting payments and entering charges to automated billing systems; filing and pulling medical record documents and charts; handling, and performing other support functions for the office. 3. Assist health services leadership with setting goals for quality assurance and best practices 4. Prepare and maintain correspondence, databases, reports, and other items including confidential records. 5. Assist with compiling data for Division of Developmental Disabilities reports (DDD) 6. Frequently keep in contact with outside biller and address any denials in a timely manner. 7. Correspond with billing service representatives to ensure all billing is maximized. 8. Provide clear written and verbal communication to all members of the health services team to ensure continuity of care for patients receiving outpatient medical and behavioral healthcare. 9. Perform data entry, processing, and maintenance of health records, electronically. 10. Maintain the confidentiality of all patient records. 11. Proficiency in Electronic Health Record platform and Microsoft office applications. 12. Credential new providers with insurance companies. Maintain and update CAQH database as needed 13. Manage correspondences for patient discharges from clinical services 14. Scheduling drug representative appointments as needed. 15. Compile/ review data from monthly provider reports to address billing issues with Senior Director of Health Services. Assist with completing projection reports as needed 16. Attending department meetings as required. 17. Managing inventory and placing orders as required. 18. Coordinate transportation with the transportation department for outpatient behavioral healthcare services, day programs, group homes, families, and various places of employment. 19. Keep reports and records of new patients and volume of practice up to date. 20. Maintain information required by licensing boards. 21. Prepare reports required by HMO contractor. 22. Cooperate with inspections, investigations and inquiries conducted by The Arc of Monmouth and/or by The New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities and The New Jersey Department of Human Services. 23. Complete Other duties as required.
