M-F Summary:
The Practice Administrator Neuroscience is responsible for the operational leadership of all outpatient neurology practice locations within the healthcare system. This role ensures high quality, efficient care delivery by overseeing provider scheduling, staff management, patient flow, compliance, and financial performance. The Practice Administrator collaborates closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize workflows, enhance patient satisfaction, and achieve strategic goals related to growth, profitability, and quality outcomes. The position involves direct supervision of clinical and non-clinical staff, active participation in strategic planning, compliance oversight, staff development, and coordination of specialty coverage for hospital-based neurology services. The Practice Administrator also coordinates provider onboarding and rotation logistics, including support for medical students, neurology and internal medicine residents, and fellowship programs in collaboration with academic partners such as UBNS. Additional responsibilities include supporting stroke program standards, and serving as a liaison across departments and external partners. The Practice Administrator fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
BA or BS Degree with a minimum (2) years Medical Practice Management or supervisory experience required In lieu of above degree, will accept a minimum of seven (7) years of Medical Practice Management Experience
EXPERIENCE
Minimum three (3) years Practice Management Experience in Medical Practice environment Knowledge of NYS Department of Health Regulations
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Proven leadership ability, Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, problem solving and decision making Knowledge of inpatient and outpatient service offerings Project development and exceptional understanding of medical practice operations Ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner with physicians, administrators, patients, and associates Ability to create an atmosphere which encourages motivation, innovation, and high performance
