DEPARTMENT

: CCBHC We believe that in-person operations are the best way to serve our clients, both directly and through essential operational support. This position requires in-person attendance with a team at 1 Brooklyn clinic location with some travel in support of the CCBHC Project. Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) Core Services includes: Crisis mental health services including 24-hour mobile crisis teams, emergency crisis intervention, and crisis stabilization; Screening, assessment, and diagnosis including risk assessment; Patient-Centered treatment planning or similar processes, including risk assessment and crisis planning; Outpatient mental health and substance use services; Outpatient clinic primary care screening and monitoring of key health indicators and health risk; Targeted case management; Psychiatric rehabilitation services; Peer support, counselor services, and family support services; and, Intensive community-based mental health care for members of the armed forces & veterans.

SUMMARY:

The Supervisor of Substance Use Services will be responsible for supporting the clinical service and administrative process of CCBHC services for substance abuse treatment. This person must work in tandem with the other CCBHC Directors and Supervisors to support the integrated services of behavioral health, substance use treatment, and primary care in a seamless fashion, expanding access to care and improving outcomes through coordinated population health management. Assist in supporting the direction and management of the CCBHC substance use treatment during the planning and launch of services. Works with a multidisciplinary team including a mental health director, a health team, a case management team and a peer director. Assist with overseeing the quality of care for CCBHC substance abuse treatment services with the administrative and clinical supervision of the substance abuse team to ensure operational efficiencies and fidelity to clinical services. Responds to and responsible for site specific reporting, including, but not limited to, quality reporting and tracking and audits.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Conduct clinical supervision of the Substance treatment staff and perform administrative and clinical reviews of all documentation, as per OASAS guidelines and CCBHC standards, for integrated, person-centered, harm reduction, and trauma informed care. Develop, monitor and maintain counselors’ work schedule and oversee daily case conferences to ensure efficiency and attendance to urgent clinical cases. Supervise, provide guidance and monitor client group topics and schedule in collaboration with the CCBHC substance treatment team. Provide supervision to members of the counseling and peer support staff to ensure practice fidelity and best practices are being following in the provision of individual and group services. Monitor and ensure that quality service is being performed across clinical activities, including but not limited to, intake, evaluation, assessment, medication management, individual therapy, group therapy, peer services and discharge planning. Perform all regular duties of a counselor with a limited assigned caseload. Attend and participate in all staff and team meetings, and in-service trainings to encourage and support a multidisciplinary approach to treatment. Liaison with other CCBHC core service programs and external referral sources. Collaborate with completion of monthly quality assurance for both OASAS and CCBHC requirements. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and with nursing leadership to insure effective service delivery, including but not limited to MAT services and medication management. Oversight of admissions and discharges and the correlated documentation for both programs with referral agencies and service programs. Follow policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with CCBHC program requirements and regulations for substance abuse services. Complies with billing and reimbursement requirements, maximizing revenue potential while maintaining program integrity. Comply with all relevant regulations, accreditation standards, and reporting requirements. Participate in audits and reviews to ensure adherence to program requirements and standards. Identify substance specific trainings to provide opportunities to improve clinical skills among counseling and peer staff as related to best practices and CCBHC specific EBPs. Complete agency training to improve cultural competency and trauma informed care as they align to CCBHC and Agency specific mission. Perform other work-related duties as assigned by the CCBHC Director of Substance Use Treatment. Available to travel/work evening and weekend hours as required by the grant and agency needs. Work collaboratively with the CCBHC Interdisciplinary Team as well as external agencies and community stakeholders. Attend required management and staff meeting. Complete CCBHC and organizational trainings

EXPERIENCE

2-4 years with program management for a substance abuse clinic. 1-3 years with supervision responsibilities. 1-2 years with MAT treatment. 1-3 years with multi-disciplinary teams. Experience with adults and teens, preferred. Experience with, but not limited to, MI, Harm Reduction, MAT, trauma informed care, and other evidence-based training. Excellent written and verbal communication. Proficient with word processing, electronic health records, and electronic communications. Knowledgeable regarding the psychosocial aspects of illness and health. Experience in providing crisis management in a substance abuse treatment environment. Experience navigating behavioral health systems and substance treatment systems. Three years of experience in community development, promoting community-level collaborations, addiction treatment and supervisory experience. Knowledgeable about the intersection of mental health, substance misuse, criminal justice system and chronic health conditions. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Proficient with word processing, electronic health records, and electronic communications. Well-organized with strong time management skills. Enthusiasm and self-motivation regarding identifying client needs and obtaining related resources. Able to work independently and as a member of a team. Excellent interpersonal skills, including being able to maintain a professional temperament with both clients and colleagues. Knowledgeable with regard to the availability of community facilities and resources for referral, transfer and discharge planning. Strong crisis intervention skills Able to meet program standards in documenting in client records. Ability to work with challenging clients. Comfortable with community outreach and home visits. Comfortable and competency working with racially, culturally, religiously and ethnically, linguistically, differently abled diverse communities, including but not limited to BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. Bilingual skill in a language other English (i.e. Spanish, Russian or Cantonese) is desired.

QUALIFICATIONS

NYS license or credentials required: CASAC-Advance, LMSW Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience

SALARY RANGE

: $ $115,000-$125,000 (Based on experience and licensure/certification.)
