The Associate Patient CareCoordinator/ Medical Assistant is responsible for the completion ofset processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all membersof the care team to support the vision and mission of theorganization, deliver excellent customer service and adhere to Leanprocesses. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical andservice goals.
Schedule:
A 37.5-hour work week, Monday, Wednesdayand Thursday from 8:30 am to 5:00pm Tuesday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm,Friday from 8:30am to 4:00 pm. Rotating Saturdays (from 8:30 am to12:30 pm

Primary Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients,verify insurance, and update medical records
- Scheduleappointments, follow-ups, and referrals
- Serve as a liaisonbetween patients, providers, and insurance companies
- Providepatients with pre-visit instructions and post-visit follow-up
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist during procedures
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
- Maintain accurate andup-to-date patient records in the EHR system
- Handle phone calls,messages, and patient inquiries
- Assist with billing, coding, andinsurance verification as needed
- Ensure exam rooms are clean,stocked, and ready for use
- Adhere to infection control and safetyprotocols
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAAregulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives andstaff meetings
- Ability to be cross trained as a medical assistant
- Takes vital signs, performs EKGs and assists providers withpatient care
- Performs lab testing and quality assurance
- Prepares and tracks specimens sent to lab
- Ability to collectblood specimens via venipuncture or via capillary
- Prepares examrooms for patients and documents patient encounters in Epic
- Practices standard infection control precautions

Required Qualifications:
- High SchoolDiploma/GED (or higher)
- 1 years of customer service or healthcarerelated experience
- Intermediate level of computer proficiency(multitasking through multiple applications including MicrosoftOutlook, Excel, and Word)
- Ability to be trained as an M.A. (mustbe completed), OR already holding a registration as a MedicalAssistant
- Ability to cover other offices if needed
- Ability tobe flexible with the work schedule:
- Monday, Wednesday andThursday 8:30 am to 5:00pm
- Tuesday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
- Fridayfrom 8:30am to 4:00 pm
- Saturdays from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 years of experience working inmedical office position performing duties such as schedulingappointments, checking patients in/out, insurance verification,collecting co-pays, and maintaining medical records
- Experienceworking with an electronic health record (EPIC)

- Ability to work independently and maintain good judgment andaccountability
- Demonstrated ability to work well with health careproviders
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines

00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay isbased on several factors including but not limited to local labormarkets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
