Manhasset Primary Care has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient focused and detailed oriented Associate Patient Care Coordinator/ Medical Assistant to join our team. The Associate Patient Care Coordinator/ Medical Assistant is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical and service goals.

Schedule :

A 37.5-hour work week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 am to 5:00pm Tuesday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Friday from 8:30am to 4:00 pm. Rotating Saturdays (from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm

Primary Responsibilities:

Greet and check in patients, verify insurance, and update medical records Schedule appointments, follow-ups, and referrals Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and insurance companies Provide patients with pre-visit instructions and post-visit follow-up Prepare patients for examinations and assist during procedures Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider Collect and prepare laboratory specimens Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EHR system Handle phone calls, messages, and patient inquiries Assist with billing, coding, and insurance verification as needed Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use Adhere to infection control and safety protocols Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff meetings Ability to be cross trained as a medical assistant Takes vital signs, performs EKGs and assists providers with patient care Performs lab testing and quality assurance
